What we do for our clients is serious business, but it doesn’t mean we have to take ourselves too seriously. Firm-wide events like the Wichita Corporate Challenge, our annual holiday party, and support of charitable and civic organizations through events like Bowl for Kids’ Sake for Kansas Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Light the Night Walk for Leukemia and Lymphoma, and America’s Walk for Diabetes for the American Diabetes Association give us a chance to “take off our ties” and have some fun for a community organization’s benefit.
AGH also has strong relationships with the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals of Wichita (YPW) and the United Way of the Plains. YPW was developed to combat “brain drain” and retain young professionals in the city. This organization hosts a year-round schedule of social, networking and career development events for professionals 40 and under. Many AGH staff members are actively involved in YPW leadership and activities. The United Way of the Plains is a local, volunteer-driven organization that brings the community together to address critical issues such as care for the elderly, at-risk youth, disaster relief, and more. AGH employees and the firm as a whole yearly contribute time and money to support this effective organization.
